What's new in Palmetto Bay?

I've all the juicy "deets" for anyone who wants to know!

Known for its unrivaled blend of suburban Florida charm and urban sophistication, this burgeoning residential nirvana doesn't just commit to preserving the environment!

Palmetto Bay oozes PROGRESS in ALL aspects, too!

New and ongoing community projects, mixed-use developments, brand-new communities to live in, and new destinations to relax and unwindcontinuous advancements are a PROMISE Palmetto Bay intends to keep!

Is this the "Village of Parks?"

If you ask me, Palmetto Bay's looking more like "Village of Perks!"

Here are 4 things new to watch for in Palmetto Bay.

The 87th Bridge Project — What We Know So Far

Where: SW 87th Avenue from SW 86th Court to SW 163rd Terrace

When: May 2024

In 2021, Mayor Cunningham shared information about the 87th Avenue Bridge Project, the construction of a bridge at SW 87th Avenue over the C-100 canal.

The proposed free-span bridge includes a vehicle lane, bicycle lane, and pedestrian sidewalk in each direction, with a total length of 66 feet 4 inches and width of 63 feet 2 inches, providing connectivity for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians along SW 87th Avenue, and create relief to adjacent major corridors such as SW 82nd Avenue, SW 77th Avenue, and Old Cutler Road.

After many discussions and meetings with the residents, the infrastructure will finally commence construction on May 27, 2024!

Yes, peeps, it's official — Palmetto Bay is getting a bridge on 87th Avenue!

Albeit a few years in the making, we may be looking at stress-free traveling in and around Palmetto Bay in a few months or a year if everything goes smoothly!

Say Hello To The New And Upcoming Residential Developments Of Palmetto Bay!

Where: across Palmetto Bay

Are you still hunting for a new apartment or condo around Palmetto Bay?

Well, how does living in the heart of Palmetto Bay sound?

Now, you can, thanks to Downtown Palmetto Bay's ongoing redevelopment project!

As part of the effort to revitalize Palmetto Bay's bustling city center, new communities have risen to provide locals with more places to live in — and there's more to come!

Among the newly completed projects is the Palmetto Station (7945 SW 97 Ave.), a pet-friendly, mid-rise rental community with five stories and 271 one-to-three-bedroom luxury apartments!

Palmetto Station also boasts a wealth of exclusive amenities to address the needs of its residents, its own community center and park, and 7,000 square feet of ground floor retail available for lease!

Soleste Bay Village (18301 South Dixie Hway) is another newly built, pet-friendly community in Downtown Palmetto Bay offering 200 Class "A" multi-family rental apartments across five stories, ranging from one to three bedrooms, a laundry list of luxury amenities, and 16,000 square feet of commercial space!

But wait, there's more!

The Addison (18185 SW 98th Ave.), a mixed-use pre-construction, broke ground last February, and by October 2024, this three-story rental community will offer 83 three-to-four-bedroom units integrated smart home technology, a dog park, and recreational green spaces!

Isn't it an AWESOME time to live in Palmetto Bay?

New Parks Are In The Pipeline For The "Village Of Parks!"

Where: across Palmetto Bay

Palmetto Bay is adding more "jewels" to its "crown," with two exciting parks looming in the future, the Veterans Park and Tanglewood Linear Park!

Although construction for Veterans Park (SW 164th St. near 93rd Ave.) is still ongoing, to be completed in 2027, and the proposal for Tanglewood Linear Park (intersection of SW 140 St. and SW 77 Ave.) has just been approved, the 4-acre and 2.5-acre parks, respectively, will increase Palmetto Bay's ecological and aesthetic value, and provide additional recreational spaces for residents and habitat for wildlife!

What can we expect once these two parks finish construction?

According to sources, locals will have more walking paths, playgrounds, and picnic areas to enjoy, a Gold Star Memorial to pay tribute to veterans, and recreational facilities in the coming years.

Stay tuned for updates!
