Are you ready to fill your week with exciting events around Surfside?
Well, we have THREE — and yes, they're all FREE!
First on the list is Surfside's Music on the Beach (93rd Street Beach), a six-part live music series by the beach that started last January until June!
At Music On The Beach, music lovers will enjoy fantastic Sunday evenings filled with light bites & refreshments, good vibes, and sandy toes, alongside performances from different genres — classic rock, jazz, Latin, dueling piano, steel drums, and Beach Island vibe!
The next is SurfStreet Saturday (9293 Harding Ave.), an arts and culture block party and Surfside's newest event series, happening every Saturday night until May!
At SurfStreet Saturdays, you'll find different activation zones featuring creative acts, live performances, music, food, and local vendors, alongside an adult lounge area and kiddie activity areas!
And if your weekends are a no-go, drop by Surfside's 2024 Third Thursday Series (9300 St between Collins & Harding Ave.), a highly anticipated weekday block party happening every third Thursday since January!
At the 2024 Third Thursday Series, you'll find a lively hub filled with local culinary delights, a kid's entertainment and game pavilion, an adult activation center, a food pavilion, live musical acts, beach furniture, natural foliage décor, and street ambient lighting.
Each Thursday will offer a different theme, so check out the schedule and be ready for a unique celebration every time you visit!

Surfside Welcomes New Luxury Developments On Its Oceanfront!

Surfside has always been famous for its luxurious condo towers and fancy hotels, and now, it seems more developments will be rising on its oceanfront — one with a 1,185-square-foot synagogue!
In 2024, the community will be joined by Surf Row Residences (8800 Collins Ave.), a luxury residential construction by Lineaire Group, which will offer eight three-to-five-bedroom private beach homes by award-winning firm Rene Gonzalez Architects (RGA), all with almost 2,000 square feet of private outdoor living spaces, rooftops with plunge pools, summer kitchens, massive gazebos, private garages and enclosed front yards.
In 2025, MREAM's highly anticipated 93 Ocean (9317 Collins Ave.), an upscale 12-story residential tower, will open to the public and offer 27 spacious residences ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, 71 parking spaces, and a rooftop club with a pool deck, fitness center, and outdoor common space, among others.
Meanwhile, DAMAC International's ultra-luxury boutique oceanfront development on 8855 Collins Avenue, the former site of Champlain Towers South, is rumored to start construction in 2024 and will offer 57 condo units, two pools, and more amenities that have yet to be announced.
Another luxury housing complex proposal is in the pipeline for Surfside from New York-based firm Kushner Companies for the 2.23-acre site of 9300 Collins Avenue.
Upon approval, the construction project will be a 140,637-square-foot apartment building measuring three stories above grade, offering 87 units measuring 1,128 square feet to 2,284 square feet each with one-to-three-bedroom floor plans, more than 7,000 square feet of ground floor indoor amenities, a rooftop pool deck, 194 underground parking spaces, and a 700-square-foot synagogue.
Kushner Companies will also preserve a 2,250-square-foot historic building erected in the 1940s.
Needless to say, it will be a busy and FRUITFUL few years for the charming town of Surfside!

"New" Park In The Spotlight — 96th Street Park!

The park we all love, 96th Street Park, known as Surfside's main recreational space, underwent a significant facelift in 2023.
According to sources, the renovation involves a new LEED Silver-certified municipal community center, new playground facilities with specialized play equipment, site furnishings, shade structures, fencing, advanced lighting solutions, landscaping, and comprehensive irrigation systems.
And the best news is that the NEW 96th Street Park will be unveiled in 2024!
